Our Sunday's Breakfast

This is what every Sunday breakfast consists of in our house...it's almost like "tradition" to have cinnamon rolls for every breakfast, because we've done it for as long as I can remember....!
Isa 45:8
"Drip down, O heavens, from above, And let the clouds pour down righteousness; Let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit, And righteousness spring up with it. I, the LORD, have created it."

Sunday Picnic!

We had the best Sunday picnic after church that I think I've ever had! (well, considdering I can't even remember the last time I'd ever been on a picnic, it's been that long...) :)
It was beautiful weather, great fellowship, and of-course good food as well.... unfortunately I didn't get pictures of everything.... But, Lord willing there will be a next time!
Mal 2:5-7
"My covenant with him was one of life and peace, and I gave them to him as an object of reverence; so he revered Me, and stood in awe of My name. True instruction was in his mouth, and unrighteousness was not found on his lips; he walked with Me in peace and uprightness, and he turned many back from iniquity. For the lips of a priest should preserve knowledge, and men should seek instruction from his mouth; for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts."

Homemade Blackberry Frozen Yogurt

Next time you crave some ice cream, try some fresh homemade frozen yogurt instead! My dad loves it and it's quick, easy, inexpensive as ever, and is much healthier than the stuff you buy at Publix in the ice cream section! (p.s. course, having a Vita-Mix is the key to it!)
Joh 16:30-31
"Now we know that You know all things, and have no need for anyone to question You; by this we believe that You came from God."
Jesus answered them, "Do you now believe?"

Time For Mexican

These are my home-made enchiladas. I created the recipe myself and everyone at our table really liked it.... now all I have to do is remember what I put in it so I can make it again!... ooh! ;)
1Pet 3:3-4
And let not your adornment be merely external-- braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses; but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.

My Favorite Bread Recipe :)

Yup, same-old, same-old! But everyone's favorite, so I never mind making it again and again. :)
Besides, it so much fun!
Psa 32:11
Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous ones, And shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart.
Isa 65:18
"But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; For behold, I create Jerusalem for rejoicing, And her people for gladness."

2Ch 20:12
"O our God, wilt Thou not judge them? For we are powerless before this great multitude who are coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are on Thee."

Pro 17:17
A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity.
Luk 6:38
"Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, they will pour into your lap. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return."

APPLE CRUMBLE

1 cup flour
1/3 cup butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
6-8 Apples, pealed, cored and thinly sliced
Lemon juice
Nutmeg
White sugar

Preheat your oven to 350 degreas. Mix flour, butter, and brown sugar as you would for pie crust. Mix until crumbly. Butter a casserole dish. Slice apples into dish; drizzle with some lemon juice and sprinkle with nutmeg and sugar or cinnamon sugar, whatever desired. I generally go for cinnamon sugar or apple pie spice and sugar. Spread flour mixture over the top and bake until the apples are cooked and the top is well browned. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Isa 65:24
"It will also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear."

Fresh Apples

Now what do we do with a bunch of fresh apples from the apple farm?.... apple pie? or apple sauce, apple strudel, apple cinnamon muffins, apples plain?
Job 42:2
"I know that Thou canst do all things, And that no purpose of Thine can be thwarted."

Put On the Cherry

"Pretty please!.... and put a cherry on top!"
2Th 3:5, 16
And may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the steadfastness of Christ.
Now may the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace in every circumstance. The Lord be with you all!

Startin' Up the Party!... Or Just Our Labor Day Get-To-Gether

Yes, we had a little Labor Day get-to-gether, like we do each year, and it was a bunch of fun! We had all that good ol' grill-party food, you know, and then some fruit salad, regular salad, mixed veggies tray, dips, slaw, chips, cake/brownies, and all that sorta' stuff! - God provided a bountiful feast for us!
Eph 3:20-21
Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.

"B" for Banana Bread!

Bear with me as I am being rather slow in my posting pictures. I've been really busy lately, so, ya know how that goes! ;)
This is just banana bread with chocolate chips I made a few days ago. Our family loves this recipe!
Psa 143:8
Let me hear Thy lovingkindness in the morning; For I trust in Thee; Teach me the way in which I should walk; For to Thee I lift up my soul.
