Pause!!!

OK! Yay, I found some pictures that I had forgotten to post right before I left home, so here they are! :) It was a carrot cake for Abby's birthday and a cheesecake for a neighbor/church member who got some-5-or-so stitches in his hand (any who have opporations, stitches or wisdom-tooth extractions get a cheesecake from me).
Yeah, that was fun making those two at the same time! :)
Psa 139:1-6
O Lord, Thou hast searched me and known me. Thou dost know when I sit down and when I rise up; Thou dost understand my thought from afar. Thou dost scrutinize my path and my lying down, And art intimately acquainted with all my ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O LORD, Thou dost know it all. Thou hast enclosed me behind and before, And laid Thy hand upon me. [Such] knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is [too] high, I cannot attain to it.

mmmmmmmmm....I have to say that I love making cheesecake, and yes, baking two things at one time is so much fun even if it is a lot of work and extra cleanup. The end results are always rewarding! I recently made a braided egg bread just to see if it would work for me, and it did! I love seeing things turn out good! I haven't had good experience at all with breads, but this one turned out beautifully compared to the last recipe I did and was so much fun even if it did take up half my day! Ok so it wasn't perfect, but it rose! My other breads never got past the rising stage.

Ahh, I LOVE baking bread! That's my favorite, prolly bc I started out with it and that was when I was 10. I was 15 when I FINALLY made my first really nice loaf of bread (and one that rose!). It does take time to learn how to make bread, though. It can be really tricky sometimes, esp. with that yeast! ;)

Oh Anna! I'dmake you a cheesecke any ways!I just know that you can't have it... :*(
But if we have a party when I get back, will you be able to have a LITTLE something like that?

Yep the yeast part is the tricky part. And depending on what kind of bread you make you have to have the water at a certain temperature before adding to the yeast and flour mixture. That was the part that killed my breads that I made before the braided bread. By the way,
Psalm 139 happens to be my favorite Psalm. Thanks for posting those verses. It truly is a beautiful Psalm. Poetical sounding too.
