My favorite "snack tray". :)
Rom 12:9-13
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.

Lydia, that's lovely!
I love making food look pretty. I was the fruit cutter at Kroger one summer, and I loved arranging fun fruit trays!
You did a great job with this one. So colorful!
Oh that's cool! I would like that. Yes, I arrange a lot of fresh goodies for us and church events, etc. It's fun indead, to make food look pretty and decorative. :)
Happy Valentine's Day. :)
Preparing anything scrumptuous?
Well, if my dad has plans with my mom tonight then probably not....(I know, that sounds bad! ;) )
See, Oliver's b-day was yesterday (he's our Valentine baby) so we usually do something "special" and Valentine's related for his b-day instead. :)
So I'll have to post some pics of what I did yesterday! :)
What about you?
The cake you made for Oliver's birthday looks scrumptuous!
Well, I didn't make anything Valentine-y, but I did just make some banana-nut 'n' blueberry whole grain pancakes for dinner that were pretty yummy! I absolutely love pancakes and am trying to improve my pancake making 'skills'. (or lack thereof ;) )
Oh my! Those pancakes sounds amazing! Do you have the recipe on your blog? Yeah, pancakes are really good, and you can make such a variety too. Our family loves them, and I have a griddle so I now love making them! :)
You have a griddle?? I'm so jealous! I'd love to have a griddle. You just can't make great pancakes without one.
I used the following recipe. It got great reviews and the pictures looks amazing, but mine didn't turn out quite as well as they sounded. They were good, but just not amazing.

They seemed too liquidy or something and didn't puff enough. Two things I did helped that:
1. I changed it slightly by adding a mixture of plain yogurt and milk instead of just milk, to thicken it, and that helped a lot.
2. After spooning the batter onto the pan, I spooned more batter over it, to make it thicker.
I also added a little vanilla, and because a very ripe banana was staring at me from the counter, I mashed it up and added it. And I tossed some blueberries in as well.
I'm still in the process of finding the perfect whole grain pancake recipe AND method. It's a fun process. :)
