Cooking With My Little Sis

Yesterday my little sister Jenny (7) and I made some apple pies, mine to give to our neighbors as a 'thank you' gift, and Jenny's -- let's say for the learning experience! :)

2.)all ready for the oven (note little sister's and big sister's apple pies -- very special for Jenny, you know!)
3.)Tah-dah! The finished products!
Rom 5:3-5
And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Isn't it just precious when a younger sibling wants to help??? I loved it when I was living at home and my sister Alaina wanted to help me make the unleavened bread for communion. She knew that she couldn't eat some of the dough if she couldn't help make it. :)I will never forget those moments. She always wanted to help in everything I was baking or cooking. TO the point where she wanted to take control and not let me do any! She is now four years old, nearly five, but at the time she was only three.

hehe, yes it is a lot of fun! I love showing Jenny how to cook or bake things and it's amazing what a fast learner she is! She's seven, and catches on now to everything I do when it comes to doing anything in the kitchen; and I love showing her, too! :) We make a great team. It wonderful having sisters isn't it? ;)
